After Losing His Pet Dog, Dad Unexpectedly Befriends A Baby Raccoon, And His Befuddled Daughter Documents The Entire Wholesome Journey

Losing a pet is one of the worst feelings in the world, and when it happens, we all look for different ways of coping. Some of us are unable to look at animals at all for a while. Some of us drown ourselves in awwdorable animal pictures and sob. Some of us adopt a different animal, or maybe an animal chooses to adopt us. And some of us, apparently, become best friends with cute baby raccoons. 

Yep, you read that right. The father in this viral twitter thread, two years after losing and mourning his pet dog, came across an injured, hungry little baby raccoon, and instead of screaming, running away and hoping to not get his finger bitten off like his daughter would have done, this father gave the raccoon… an egg. And so was the start of this beautiful and absolutely precious friendship.
